How to Replace the Cavity Probe and Meat Probe Socket on FWE LCH Units

  • Driver Drill with #2 Phillips Bit
  • 5/16″ Nut Driver
  • 1/4″ Nut Driver
  • Pin Screwdriver

Steps

0:00 – Introduction

Replacing Cavity Probe

0:20 | Step 1: Remove the screws around the cover and see the cover aside. Open the unit and remove the racks and tray slides.

0:41 | Step 2: Open the unit and locate the Cavity Probe on the left-hand side wall. Remove the two screws holding the probe in place.

0:52 | Step 3: In the top of the unit, disconnect the Cavity Probe wires going to the control board, taking note of their location.

1:06 | Step 4: Remove the old cavity probe and discard it.

1:13 | Step 5: Guide new probe wires through the inside of the unit and grommet in the top side wall, up to the control board.

1:23 | Step 6: Install the new Cavity Prove, mounting with the screws removed in Step 3.

1:33 | Step 7: Connect the new probe wire to the control board.

1:39 | Step 8: Restore power to the unit and test for operationality.

1:53 | Step 9: Install the top cover and return the unit to service.

Replacing Meat Probe Socket

2:12 | Step 1: Remove the screws around the cover and set the cover aside. Open the unit and remove racks and tray slides.

2:32 | Step 2: Open the unit and locate the Meat Probe Socket and mounting bracket on the left-hand side wall. Remove the two screws holding the mounting bracket in place.

2:41 | Step 3: In the top of the unit, disconnect the Probe Socket wires going to the control board, taking note of their location.

2:54 | Step 4: Remove the mounting bracket and set it aside. Remove the old Probe Socket and discard it.

3:03 | Step 5: Guide the new probe wires through the inside of the unit and grommet in the top side wall, up to the control board.

3:15 | Step 6: Install the new Probe Socket in the mounting bracket and secure it with the screws removed in Step 3.

3:25 | Step 7: Connect the new Probe Socket wires to the control board.

3:32 | Step 8: Restore power to the unit and test for operationality.

3:45 | Step 9: Install the top cover and return the unit to service.
